Description
"Beatles For Sale" by The Beatles - Tape Record - Reel to Reel - 3&3/4 inches per second - Cat No TA-PMC 1240 - Original 1964 mono twin track release (issued at approx same time as vinyl counterpart) with all inserts in excellent condition.
Quite simply I have never come across such a nicer example - and I have seen a lot of Beatles reel to reel tapes. There is NO writing, marks, tears, scuffs or it appears no discolouring to the card lid, base, inside or out. Absolutely unmarked and perfect. The inner tray is bright white and untorn/unmarked. It appears to have been stored away indefinitely and hardly used at all. Plays perfectly on my 4 track tape recorder. The white Part 1 leader tape is intact with only slight ink merging. The red Part 2 leader tape equally fine.
The original Emitape leaflet is there, as is the packing/warranty slip (for return if found faulty) and incredibly also the little green Parlophone sticker (see photo) to the clear, unbroken original 4 inch Emitape spool. All are in excellent condition.
Little pink star tax code on the base. Often mistook for a blemish, this was stamped on some boxes for retailer's tax refund/price change purposes.
This item is from the same source as my Sgt Pepper reel to reel tape, currently for sale under my other items, having had the same careful owner, and is in the same high quality condition.
I honestly do not think you will find a better example of this early 1964 Beatles album. An absolute beauty.
