Description
1964 stereo issue on US VJ 1062. Front cover has SR 1062, back cover has VJLP 1062, and labels have VJLPS 1062. This is version two of the album with with the songs Ask Me Why and Please, Please Me. Side 1 runoff groove has a circled MR (for a Monarch Pressing), “delta symbol” 6313, and S-63-3402-S. Side 2 runoff groove has a circled MR , “delta symbol” 6313X, and S-63-3403-S.
The Introducing The Beatles album was widely counterfeited but this is an authentic 1964 stereo copy.
Record plays VG-, with some surface noise (apparent mostly between some cuts) and occasional light tick. The record has scuffs and hairline marks but, as with many pressings of this era, it plays better than it looks. Overall, it’s very listenable.
Cover is near-mint, with a small fold in the back slick at the bottom right. It’s in a loose store outer baggie with printed price and Supplied by Melo-D-Lane Record Bar on the front as shown. There is also a small store tag on the front upper left of the outer sleeve.
