BEATLES LP PLEASE PLEASE ME 1963 MONO Y/B PARL GREAT COND.
On offer is a lovely condition BEATLES LP - PLEASE PLEASE ME released in the UK in MONO on the yellow-black PARLOPHONE label PARLOPHONE PMC 1202 in 1963.
This particular pressing is the 2ndYellow / Black pressing - with the ‘‘THE PARLOPHONE CO. LTD.’ / ‘RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1963’ label text but without ‘Sold in the UK…’ The LP has the Ernest J. Day sleeve and comes with its original ‘USE EMITEX’ polythene –lined inner sleeve. The cover has the large ‘mono’ on the front cover. .
This is a lovely condition original Beatles LP as follows –
v The vinyl is in extremely lovely condition with a nice sheen to it. The visual grading of the disc is a superb EX+.
v I have test played the LP for this auction (for the first time in many years!) and both sides of the disc play beautifully throughout with a full dynamic range on my hi-fi. Indeed it is really is a superb sounding example of this rare LP.
v The Matrix numbers are: Side 1: XEX 421-1N. Side 2: XEX 422 -1N.
v The disc has nice clear, clean labels on both sides of the LP. The label has ‘THE PARLOPHONE CO. LTD.’ ‘RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1963’ text and has the K.T. tax code.
v The Ernest J Dayflip-back sleeve is in nice clean strong EX- condition with just a small tear in the top right hand corner of the front cover (with a small loss of laminate on the back) and a slight crease in the bottom left hand of the cover photograph. The LP has been kept stored in a plastic sleeve for the many years I have owned it. It is a very clean and tidy LP sleeve indeed.
v The LP has its original ‘USE EMITEX’ Parlophone inner – which is in lovely EX condition – and is a great example of this EMITEX inner. Furthermore, ever since I purchased this LP many years ago I have kept the disc housed in a white inner (also supplied) to protect the original EMITEX inner.
Overall this is a very nice EX+ disc and EX- LP sleeve - and a highly collectable example indeed of this Beatles LP –which is very hard-to-find in the lovely condition that this particular example is in.
