Vinyl:
QUALITY  HEAVYWEIGHT 160g
VG.

There are just a few light marks to the vinyl...REALLY NOT WORTH WORRYING ABOUT AT ALL.
I have just listened to the album after cleaning her with my new ULTRASONIC bath :)...GORGEOUS, DEEP AND RICH SOUND RE-PRODUCTION....WHAT AN ALBUM!!
Even the run-ins were lovely and quiet-as you can hear in the audio clip provided.
There is only a tiny amount of very OCCASIONAL background noise...but nothing offensive at all...It just reminded me I am listening to a slab of vinyl from 57 years ago and not an MP3 from 57 minutes ago ;)
Great original sound, there is a slight edge warp noticed on playback-but not evident in audio playback...About one 6th of the album surface looks as if there has been some slight heat-but it didn't create any jumps, skips or sticks so remains just visual with very little impact on audio playback-I just heard a slight and light background whoosh on the transition of a few tracks-nothing bad at all.
Rich bass.
QUALITY HEAVY VINYL-TURN IT UP!
HEAVY VINYL!!!

*THIS IS A SUPERB, HEAVYWEIGHT SLAB OF ORIGINAL VINYL*

Labels:
EX

All in accordance with the re-released 1st press:
"SOLD IN THE U.K." central text.
"THE GRAMOPHONE CO.." rim text.
There are only very light spindle marks-visible when angled towards the light with some hole central wear too.

NO WRITING

'KT' Tax code to side 2 label.

"DR ROBERT" on the side two label....Which is unusual for these text-wrapped labels...

***NOW, HERE'S THE UNUSUAL BIT.....The side 1 label has the 'Gothic' typeface, rather than the blocked typeface (which is on side 2)..
BUT THAT ISN'T THE ONLY UNUSUAL PART....The track listing follows on from the end of each credit, rather than listing from the left to right normal way-Have a look at the copy you've got and see the difference-This is more of a wrap around listing to the label...VERY RARELY SEEN...
Taxman and Eleanor Rigby on the same first line.
ALSO HAS A LARGER CATALOGUE NUMBER
With side 2 having the 'New Time Roman' typeface...So this is a really rather rare transitional pressing.
NOT ONLY THE ABOVE:
I found an edge groove to each side which is normally associated with the PYE pressing plant, but also associated with the very old laithes in Abbey Road...Very rarely seen on this press.

Please see the detailed photo's.

Sleeve:
EX!!
SOLID and STRONG
There are only a handful of small fingers of spidering eminating from the edges!
The cover has just some light creamy discolouration through age, which can be seen in the detailed images provided.
The corners are INCREDIBLY strong with just light knocks.
Superbly strong, clean and rounded Garrod & Lofthouse flipbacks.
WONDERFULLY strong, uncrushed spine...CLEARLY stating the album title.

It has the text to the bottom right corner to the back flipback:
"PRINTED AND MADE BY GARROD & LOFTHOUSE LTD. PATENTS PENDING"

Inner:
EX.
It is the ORIGINAL 'USE EMITEX' inner in top shape.
Tiny 2cm split to the bottom seam.
NO WRITING
Also carries the 'MADE IN ENGLAND' text at the bottom right of one side.
Certainly done her job in keeping this record in great condition.
(A collectors piece in it's own right!)

GRAB THIS LITTLE BEAUTY FOR IT'S QUALITY WEIGHT, SOLID CONDITION THROUGHT AND GREAT SOUND.
NOT FORGETTING THE UNUSUAL TEXT-WRAPPING LABEL-POSS PYE CONTRACT PRESS RIM RIDGE AND ORIGINAL EMITEX INNER....
