The Beatles a.k.a White Album- New Zealand 70's Apple label RARE!!
This double LP is presented here in possibly the BEST CONDITION I have seen this LP in many years! It is complete with the large poster AND the 4 individual pictures all in excellent condition. The cover is an original Top Loader AND it is numbered (No. 77222) and it was imported by EMI NZ from EMI Australia.
It is featured on page 138 of 'The Beatles in New Zealand...a discography' .
Matrices:side 1 - SWBO 1-101 J46 #4 [all crossed out] YEX 709 side 2 - SWBO 2-101 J40 :.[all crossed out] YEX 710
side 3 - SWBO 3-101 J40:. [all crossed out] YEX 711 side 4 - SWBO 4-101 J40 :. [all crossed out] YEX 712
These are all hand written.
Assuming the matrix details are at 6 o'clock, then the Scranton pressing plant logo is stamped at 3 o'clock on side 1, and the LA pressing plant logo is at 3 o'clock and a large 3 at 9 o'clock on sides 2,3, and 4.There is also a 1 stamped at 5 o'clock on sides 3 and 4. It is strange to see the stampers from TWO pressing plants used here.
