Angus McBean 1st Pressing Cover
Very Rare 1963 3rd Mono UK pressing of "Please Please Me" on the yellow and black Parlophone label. This is the very first pressing after the Gold & Black labels. Third pressings have "The Parlophone...." text on the label rim and without the "Recording first published" text and and without the "Sold in the UK text".
It has the large MONO on the front cover and comes in its original 1st pressing E J Day cover with its original Emitex inner sleeve. This is the very first cover with Angus McBean credit at the far right of the base of the front cover. Second issue covers had the credit further to the left. The rear of the cover has the tell-tale 1st pressings triple flip-backs which are much flatter than later pressings.
Cover: Excellent+ - this is the rarer 1st pressing E J Day triple flip back cover with the flatter flipbacks and the Angus McBean credit at the far right. No writings/doodles/seam splits. Tiny wear to corners. Tiny laminate creasing. The flip backs are complete - so ofetn these have been damaged. This is the best cover I have ever seen.
Emitex inner poly-lined sleeve: Excellent+.
Labels: Excellent+. XEX421/2-1N. No writings/doodles. MT Tax Code - indicating how early this pressing is - later pressings has a KT tax code. Early stampers 1/MD & 1/AM
Vinyl: Excellent. This has been very well cared for. All too often these early Beatles records were played to death but this has only been lightly played. Lovely sheen to the vinyl. Thick heavy duty vinyl. Some superficial feathering & lightish marks. Certainly the best I have ever seen.

Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.
Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.
Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, it may even jump.
Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc
Bad - The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
