THE BEATLES. PLEASE PLEASE ME. MEGA RARE. PMC 1202. Mar, 22 1963. 1st BLACK AND GOLD RELEASE. EX CONDITION. MONO. Very first pressing of this ICONIC BEATLES ALBUM.
The Album is one of the very first pressings. 22 March 1963. In Liverpool. The disc has 1st variation, Black and gold
Parlophone lables (PMC 1202). An 'MT' Purchase tax code is present, in the center of the side 1 label. Matrixes: XEN 421- IN AND XEX 422 IN.
Earliest possible stamper codes: 1/G and 1/G. Housed within a correct/early. 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed front, Laminated, tri-flipback MONO cover.With the Angus McBean Photo credit, in the extreme lower right corner.
Complete with its Original poly - lined 'Use Emitex' inner sleeve. CONDITION V/G +. Very few spindle marks present.
And the central, Horizontal gold lines, both go right to the edges of the hole. Very few minor blemishes or wear, to any of the delicate Gold print. Visually, Side 1 V/G++ Side 2 V/G.++ This Album has been very well cared for, this is evident to any observers. No clouding or dullness to either surface. Viewed in natural daylight, this album looks Excellent.
Very closer examination, reveals little more than a few light hairline scratches. Both sides lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing. Both sides are free of any crackles, jumps, whatsoever when playing. Even at high volume. The outer cover is V/G+ given that the Album is now 56 years old. The outer corners are in great shape, with slight shelfware marks. There are no heavy bumps or bruising to the outer cover, however, there is the name of someone, written in ballpoint pen on the top section of one side of the outer cover. This could be carefully removed. The Album has been housed within a thick polythene fully protective outer covering. ORIGINAL inner Sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition, Clean and white, no writing, or stains present. The translucent central section is in tact, and there are no splits or tears, around the outer edges. Examples of this iconic. Beatles Album are very rare, in this condition. The images don't do it justice. The Album will be very well packed, in order to survive its journey. I will post WORLDWIDE.
