This is the original Please Please Me 3rd pressing Mono LP on the first yellow/black label after the gold/black labels. The was the very first appearance of the Beatles on the famous Yellow and Black Parlophone label.
Third pressings are characterised by "The Parlophone...." text on the label rim and without the "Recording first published" text and without the "Sold in the UK text".
It has the large MONO on the front cover and comes in its original 1st pressing E J Day cover with an Emitex poly-lined inner sleeve and with the Angus McBean credit further along to the right at the base of the front cover.
Cover: This is the rare triple flip back E J Day cover with the flatter flipbacks and the original Angus McBean credit to the far right. In VG+ condition. No missing pieces or tears. A little wear here and there and a name on the rear of the cover. Better than most.
Emitex inner poly-lined sleeve: Excellent.
Labels: Side 1 = VG+ (some red writing/name - see scan) and Side 2 = Excellent. ZT Tax Code.
Vinyl: Thick heavy duty vinyl. Play tested. Looks and plays VG+. Some light crackle at the beginning of each side and between tracks. However, hardly any crackle noticeable during most of the songs. No skips/jumps. Not mint but better than most.

Gradings.......
Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.
Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.
Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratches.
Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and more significant scratches.
Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, it may even jump.
Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc
Bad - The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
