This variation is almost impossible too find..It just NEVER turns up at all..

When Parlophone changed the label design from "Black and Gold" to the yellow and black /£ sign design a few copies (who knows how many?) had a very small 33 1/3 next to the cat number on the left of the label..This was very soon removed...

This also came with the sleeve that Black and Gold copies came with..(The "P" of "Photo:Angus McBean" is DIRECTLY under the last "S" of "Songs"..Later issue sleeves have the "Photo" text moved further to the left on the sleeve)...

This,therefore is a third press of this album..Most copies that turn up are 4th pressings..

This has "Parlophone" text to the label rim and there is no "Sold in the UK"..

The matrix numbers are:1N and the stampers are 1 PM and 2GO..

Issued on Parlophone in 1963..PMC 1202..MONO..UK pressing..

Please note that this is NOT a top copy by any means,but as an inexpensive collection filler it's Ok!..

The disc looks VG Minus (at best ) as there are hairlines and light scuffs..The vinyl has lost it's sheen..The first track on the second side has a circular groove to the middle of the track (Visible and it can be felt with the fingertips..More info on this further down)..

Play grade?..I have great faith in those old Parlophone albums,they seem to be able to take a lot of damage with NO effect on the sound quality.So,I stick this on the deck..The first side plays EX minus (a little crackly with a couple of light pops and a big fat sound)..I get to the second side and everything is going great until I hit the deep groove on the first track..It sticks,hisses and makes horrible noises!..NASTY..(The rest of the side plays EX minus)...It's a shame,but these albums don't turn up everyday!..

The sleeve is a mess..The front has some laminate creases,but the edges are worn THROUGH the laminate and the corners are rounded..The bottom edge also has a 1 inch seam split,while the top edge is split ALL the way from spine to opening edge..The back has age fading and some discshape..The bottom flipback is damaged with a piece missing..I think the pictures speak for them selves!...(One good point:most of the text on the spine is legible!).

The labels have legible text but there is heavy spindle wear and the edges of the centre hole are white.

This is a rare album (no doubt about that!),but it's tatty and The start price reflects this!.

There are delays on post going INTO the USA due to an increased scanning of packages at US Customs (Anti terrorist measures,I believe)..Parcels ARE being delayed and delivery may take a MONTH!!..

The Russian Federation is also having delays on deliveries ..This is due to the sheer volume of parcels going into the Federation..Again,expect delays!.

All items are securely and professionally packed..Records are shipped out of their jackets to prevent seam splits..If there is an inner sleeve or a picture sleeve,then the disc will be packed in a plain white sleeve.. I try and keep shipping costs to an absolute minimum,byut Paypal don't help by taking commission on the postal costs!!
