BEATLES
PLEASE PLEASE ME
This is an ultra rare copy of the South African equivalent of the very first UK pressing of the Beatles first LP. It has Black & Silver Parlophone labels that have the same layout as the UK Black and Gold version, including the original Dick James Music credit. It also has a laminated flipback cover with the Angus McBean photo credit in the correct position at the bottom right corner of the front cover. Machine Stampers are XEX 421 and XEX 422. The record is in fantastic shape and the sound quality is a stunningly vibrant EX throughout. Check out the sound clip to listen to the entire LP recorded from this copy.

- Condition Disc: EX The heavy weight (180g) vinyl is bright and glossy and there are only a couple of very faint hairlines. Clean, bright labels with sharp text and no evidence of spindlewear. Remarkably clean copy and the sound quality from this heavy deep groove pressing is stunning. There is virtually no surface noise, even between tracks, and the music literally jumps out of the grooves! This one really almost meets the criteria for Near Mint!! - Condition Cover: VG(+) Flipback, front laminated Swan Press cover has only minimal wear. There is practically no creasing with bright shiny laminate. Would grade higher other than the fact that there are 7 very small horizontal splits into the cover from the spine that undoubtedly occurred due to the usual flimsy nature of South African covers (please check the photos). Otherwise the edges are all sharp and unbroken and the spine is clear clean and fully readable. Back has very light wear only. Close to EX overall.
- Comments: Excellent copy of this ultra rare original 1963 South African mono pressing.
