** Rare original FIRST PRESSING 1969 UK APPLE release of THE BEATLES "ABBEY ROAD" VINYL LP, WITH MISALIGNED APPLE LOGO ON REAR OF THE SLEEVE. The left side of the apple should align with the edge of the text above it. This one does not. It was a printing error which was quickly rectified, and copies of this album with this error are rare. **
** The final track on Side 2 - "Her Majesty" - is not credited on the label. **
** Only the very first UK pressings of this LP had these two errors. **
A Good condition disc. A few surface marks / scuffs / light scratches (see photos). Some spindle marks. Original STEREO mixes of both sides. No skips, jumps, warps, or writing on labels.
Very good sound quality throughout, with some minor surface noise, and a few "pops" here and there. Very listenable. Tested on a Thorens turntable.
Sleeve "printed by Garrod & Lofthouse International Ltd.", with laminated front and back. Good condition generally. Minor split to lower edge. Some wear to corners and opening edge. Some general creasing on the front and rear of the cover. Spine has some wear, but most of the text is still legible.
Original rare BLACK inner sleeve with polythene insert in Very Good Condition. "Patent Nos. 1125555 1072844" and "Made in Great Britain" clearly legible. Sticker removal.
GRADING:
All records are graded using the UK ‘Record Collector’ format:
MINT (M):
The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
