First U.S. press Rubber Soul vinyl LP album T-4224 was released in 1965 by Capitol Records in Mono format. It was not only their first album cover to not have their name on it, it was also the first of their albums to consist entirely of original songs. VISUAL CONDITION RATING: VINYL, Very Good, light scratches, plays without skips; COVER, Very Good+, front looks great, has a Spine Split ½ way up and across the bottom about 1/3rd; back has light ring wear and square price tag mark.
The album’s name comes from the term plastic soul, which was coined by African American soul musicians coined to describe a white musician singing soul music.
