The BEATLES -- Yesterday and Today LP . . . . . This cool vintage vinyl LP record album is an original Capitol Stereo pressing, ST-2553. Very tough-to-find STEREO version of the infamous "Butcher Cover", nicely peeled and with outstanding eye appeal. One of the "holy grails" of Beatle collecting, here is your chance to own an original!
The LP was found some years ago by a fellow collector, who expertly "peeled" off the "trunk cover" to reveal the shocking photo underneath. Comes with the original vinyl LP disc and the original Capitol inner sleeve.
Cover is very appealing and at arms length looks excellent. On close examination, there are tiny color "touch-ups" to spots on the cover where the peeling job wasn't perfect, and the top and bottom seams have also been repaired. Despite the touch-up work, this is certainly one of the better examples i've ever seen of this elusive Stereo version, with NO major damage to the front cover image... (Please note: the cover is too large for my scanner, so i scanned it in two sections; the vertical break does NOT, of course, appear on the cover itself).
The disc itself (almost irrelevant in this case!)has light playing wear and some light surface scratches, about a VG. All-in-all, a great copy of this rare and wonderful Beatles LP.
