Description

The Beatles

Rarities

Capitol, USA  1980

Here's an original 1st USA pressing of The Beatles Rarities LP, issued in 1980

The Butcher photo is reproduced in all its glory in the inside Gatefold Sleeve

TRUE 1ST PRESS ERRORS LP with the Butcher Sleeve photo

What Makes this the rare 1st press?

1) No mention of George Martin on back credits
2) Embossed group photo on front
3) There's A Place is listed as first time in stereo (false)
4) 32 group photo Inner Sleeve (later issue has poly sleeve)
5) "I've got blisters on my fingers" at the end of Helter Skelter is credited as a John Lennon statement (it was Ringo)

All these errors were corrected and only the early 1st press has all of these

Pressed at the Jacksonville factory, has the letter "O" stamped in each run-out groove

Highly sought after pressing with fold-out butcher cover suitable for display,  & the original raised / embossed front cover photo

The 32 photo Inner Sleeve is also included

The ultimate gift for any collector and a rare piece that will continue to grow in value

Excellent addition to your audiophile Beatles collection
