NOTES
Up for auction another collector's pearl, namely a worldwide first press copy of the Beatles' 1966 album Revolver.
Both the U.K. and U.S. releases were published later (U.K., August 05, 1966, Y/B Parlophone, PMC 7009 -mono-, PCS 7009 -stereo- / U.S., August 08, 1966, Capitol Rainbow T 2576 -mono-, ST 2576 -stereo-, different track listing).
German Odeon came up with two different Cover- and label versions on the same day: One for domestic use, published under Odeon's popular HoerZu branch, a second one that wasn't publicily available on the German market but was geared towards the EXPORT market, first and foremost Switzerland.
The record you are bidding on belongs to the first one (Swiss export issue was sold last week in a separate auction).
Being a very early pressing, record has a label error on Side B, where song #5 is cited I Want To Love You, instead of the "proper spelling" " I Want To Tell You, George's third contribution to this record(!)
Please see grading details for a more elaborate description of the record's condition.
IMPORTANT NOTE for GERMAN BIDDERS: Please constact us before bidding, for otherwise we will remove your bid without prior notice. This is in view of constantly recurring problems, often caused by language. It's NOT an offense. Collectors want harmony and consensus, not trouble. Record Grading

(plain) Label Side A EX Label Side B NM- Vinyl Side A EX- Vinyl Side B VG+ Audio Grading Side A EX Side B VG We use superb vinyl equipment with its heart being an Ortofan Diamond System and gold plated contacts all around.
Audible checks are performed with a Pro-Ject Audio system connected to a DENON PMA 520-AE amplifier, with a Sennheiser 350 headset. Remarks As for the Cover and related issues, please refer to pictures provided right after. Spine is in readable shape, where the "S" of catalog number "SHZE" is rubbed off.
Cover is glossy. Has a cut on spine, and on insertion rim, respectively. Some light ring wear on back side of cover.
Labels are clean, white, and shiny. No writings, spots, or tears. Sticker on Label A, hence EX "only". B-Side label is NM.
Vinyl is shiny. Whereas Side A has hairlines only, there's a scratch over first three songs of Side B.
Regarding audio, plays perfectly thru, no jumps, or skips. However, the scratch mentioned above causes pops and bg noise at precisely first three songs of the second side.
Please keep in mind that an opinion is bound to be subjective. Refer to pictures, provided extensively.
For a short explanation of applied grading, please see remarks on every listing's bottom of page. back to TOP

1st Class Packaging
We are Collectors, hence every record is stored (and will be sent) in a sophisticated way. Many experienced collectors were thrilled by our unique, bullet-proof "packing technicque". Original cover, inner sleeve(s), prospective inserts, and/or whatever may come across, are stored separately. The vinyl sits in a neutral antistatic, padded inner sleeve, which is housed in a stable, neutral cardboard cover. Package is protected by one (or more) transparent plastic sleeves. Finally, all items are being wrapped with thick bubble foil and go to a professional record mailer, which is then being properly sealed with water-resistant tape.
