Description

This is a rare, original LP copy of The Beatles "Yesterday And Today" with a second state, paste over Butcher Cover. What makes this quite rare, is that this is a Stereo version: Much harder to find than the mono paste over, as stereo records were released in smaller quantities by Capitol in 1966. (Capitol Records, ST-2553, Stereo, 6-15-1966. First Press U.S.). VG+ cover leaning as very conservative to VG. Ringo's V-neck is clearly visible under the paste over.

COVER: Three very small seam splits:
1) Bottom middle seam-about
one inch-no paper loss.
2) Top opening- very small seam split
3) Bottom opening very small seam split.

Corner wear: One top chipped corner
Slight corner dings that reveal cardboard
No loss of graphics on cover, slight age wear on front and back cover. Very small stain on back cover. One small tear
under catalog number on front cover. No loss of paper. No writing or stickers. Light bubbling under paste over, with some wear on front cover due to paste-over raised at these points. Light ring wear on back cover.

DISC: "I Am" in pyramid in dead wax - Scranton, PA pressing.
Cover # 2 plant - Scranton, PA pressing.
E 12-2FS (Scranton) original inner sleeve-VG+.

All numbers match for the Scranton Pressing. Very strong VG disc. ST1-2553 B4/ST2-2553A5 in matrix numbers on disc. Plenty of sheen, but light scratch wear throughout. Labels are VG++. No writing or stickers on labels.

This is one of three original Beatles butcher covers that I have owned over the last twenty years (I peeled one myself!) and is guaranteed authentic. Unfortunately, my flatbed scanner does not pick up Ringo's dark v-neck under the paste over clearly enough for even an enlarged picture.
