Description
Morning all. A little bit about me if you’re interested. Skip on down to the record if you’re in a hurry.
I’ve been into music for as long as I can remember. Used to request ‘Casey Jones’ in elementary school whenever we listened to music, I guess because it moved. Loved Elvis when he rocked, and when the British Invasion took off so did I. First concert was the Beach Boys (Baltimore, ’65). Have no idea how many concerts I’ve attended now. Became an avid collector, probably topping out at maybe 4000 – 5000 LP’s. Used to regularly give trunk loads away to friends (wish I had that KAK back). I’m a meat and potatoes rock guy – nothing fancy – but tastes have expanded somewhat. Favorite records include:
The yin:
Blue Oyster Cult – The first three. Any of them. Anytime.
Captain Beyond – The first one
Deep Purple – Fireball
Iron Butterfly – In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida (anyone ever listen to side 1?) and Metamorphosis, an overlooked gem
Led Zep – The first 4. What a time to be alive.
Steppenwolf (the most criminally overlooked and underrated band in rock. IMHO.) – The Second (that jam on side 2 is magnificent) and Seven. Really, if you haven’t heard it, get Seven.
Yes – The Yes Album
The yang:
Vince Guaraldi Trio – A Charlie Brown Christmas
America – First 3 albums. Underrated.
Bread – Any. A guilty pleasure.
Cat Stevens – Mona Bone, Tea, Teaser, Catch Bull. Lovely, every one of them.
Elton John – Madman
Michelle Shocked – SSS and captain Swing (1st two). Few know her, but wow.
Suzanne Vega – Songs in Red and Grey
Thanks for reading, but enough. Here we go.
THE FINE PRINT:
All records are shipped in cardboard record mailers with stiffeners. Records are shipped in plastic sleeves with the record outside the cover.
Ship to US addresses only. Sorry, not going through the international thing again, too many hassles. The bay has a habit of adding international shipping back into my listings, so I have to remember to take it out. So if it says I do, I really don’t.
All records are shipped media mail for $4 unless you request fancier service. SHIPPING COMBINED UNTIL YOU HAVE ENOUGH RECORDS TO FILL A RECORD SHIPPING BOX. Then we ship. This means you’ll get 3 – 5 (a guess) records in a box depending on thickness (gatefolds and such). Win more than one box can comfortably handle and I’ll split them into two boxes. You pay shipping on each box. Multiple wins may increase the shipping cost as well, but it’ll stay at $4 until you break the next weight barrier. Expect shipping to go up in $1 increments.
I specify shipping within 3 days, but generally do better than that. The more I have ready at one time the quicker I ship (I still work for a living and stop at the PO on the way home from work). FYI, I make a mail run virtually every Monday since many people pay as soon as they win the auction. Prompt payment works well for both of us. If you want to hold off on payment because you’re interested in the next weeks listings just drop me a line and I’ll hold winnings for you until you tell me you’re done.
As usual, questions cheerfully answered for free.
So today’s offering:
Catalog: MFSL 1-100
Still sealed. Details worth mentioning:
Remains of a price sticker upper right corner.
Tiny corner push upper right corner.
The small white marks visible in the back cover photo appear to be small pieces of plastic trapped between the cover and the plastic sleeve. I assume they’re a byproduct of packaging. There are no marks on the cover itself.
Check out my other auctions, these are the still sealed MFSL Beatle albums I have listed:
