SGT PEPPER.
UK PARLOPHONE 1 BOX MONO PRESSING THAT PLAYS STEREO LP PMC 7027.
This extremely rare pressing has Mono labels but it actually is a stereo record with YEX 637-1, YEX 638-2 matrix numbers! Clearly, this is a stereo record with rare mono 1 box labels. I can confirm, I've played the disc and it is a stereo pressing.
This is visually not a perfect record but it is also not trashed!
If you are a fussy person who needs top examples of everything this will NOT be for you.
The Cover / VG condition. The cover is in a solid, Very Good condition with some corner wear and some storage wear. Still a decent, solid example. This is a mono Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold cover.
The Record / G+ (Good+) condition. Visually the record has a fair amount of light marks and some visible surface marks. Thankfully, the marks are not deep, and the record performs better than my strict visual grade. It looks like the record has been cleaned with a cloth, by a heavy handed person, when seen when angled in light. This is what it is and the record does play okay, but obviously not perfect with surface crackle and the odd tick here and there. When will you ever see this pressing again, it's a very rare item. My grading is strict.
Matrix Numbers: YEX 637-1, YEX 638-2. Please note a mono pressing would have 'XEX' in the dead wax.
Labels / EX- condition. A nice set of labels with some light wear only.
The Inner / VG+ condition. Correct EMI inner cover.
Insert / EX condition.
I use the UK grading system of Bad / Poor / Fair / Good / Very Good / Excellent / Mint.
All items are carefully graded. An item graded as VG / Very Good on this site will not be of a poor standard. Please see my feedback. Thanks for looking.
