SUPER RARE MONO VARIANT **OMITS THE CREDIT FOR THE SONG 'A DAY IN THE LIFE' ON THE SIDE 2 RECORD LABEL**, NEAR MINT RECORD LABELS, NEAR MINT VINYL, GREAT SOUND QUALITY!!
Item Description:
Arguably the RAREST of all The Beatles 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' UK Pressings, this Original First Issue MONO Vinyl LP was released by Parlophone UK on 1 June 1967, and **OMITS 'A Day In the Life'** credit to the side 2 record label, (although the track ‘A Day in The Life’ does play on the album).
The Vinyl LP is on the Custom Black and Yellow Parlophone Label, with 'Gramophone Co Ltd and 'Sold in UK…' label text. The album comes in its correct and original white inner bag, and is housed in an Ultra Glossy fully laminated First Issue Garrod & Lofthouse Gatefold Sleeve with two internal Flip Backs. Also included with this COMPLETE album package is an original UNUSED Sgt Pepper Cut-Out.
Official Dead Wax Stamper and Matrix information:
Side 1 matrix is XEX 637-1/Side 2 XEX 638-1.
Side 1 stampers:'3', 'MMH'/Side 2: '9',' MMM'.
Grading Assessment:
Both sides of the Record labels are near mint examples, Near perfect record labels with only the faintest spider trails to the centre spindle hole. Both sides of the Vinyl Disc are in SUPER PRESERVED near mint condition. The Vinyl is GLEAMING, Unworn, with NO Scuffs, and NO Scratches, showing no more than a couple of light non-sounding surface hairlines on side 1 - these are extremely light and do not affect the sound quality.
The Front and back of this First issue Laminated Garrod & Lofthouse Gatefold Sleeve are in excellent plus condition, a FIRM and UNDAMAGED Sleeve with an all over DEEP MIRROR Shine Laminate. The inside of the gatefold sleeve is also in excellent plus condition. The corners and edges are FIRM and UNSPLIT, with just a couple of extremely mild corner bruises to the two bottom right hand corners. The SPINE is in great shape and the Printed wording 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' clearly readable. The UNUSED Sgt Pepper Cut Out is a mint example, and the Plain White Inner Bag is also in great shape, with no tearing, seam splits or handwriting.
Playing Quality:
Having played the record carefully, both sides play EXTREMELY WELL, with NO unwanted Skips, Jumps, Distortion, or Clicks, providing an Extremely SMOOTH and IMPRESSIVE sound quality. The album sits 100% flat on the turntable.
The RAREST of all The Beatles UK ‘Pepper’ albums, RARELY seen with the Vinyl Disc in this IMPRESSIVE condition and one of the FINEST examples of this RARE VARIANT that we have seen for a long time!
