Beatles Sgt Pepper UK 1967 1st Pressing Mono *Wide Spine* Parlophone PMC 7027
matrix Numbers: XEX 637-1/XEX 638-1
yellow and black label - Near Mint Condition
These wide spine versions are thought to be the very first pressings of this album - with the spine over double the width of a regular sleeve this example is certainly in the very top league,
sleeve is very close to mint amazingly well preserved superb vivid colours shiny unmarked lamination with that 'new' crackle sound as you open the gatefold sleeve - no marks or scuffed corners and the all important spine is perfectly straight and unmarked showing no wear at all - it's virtually as new graded easily near-mint,
The record itself is a lovely example - I've played this all the way through on a high quality system and it's a great sounding record, all tracks are clear and fresh with no unwanted background noise even quiet in between songs audio graded near-mint, -
visually vinyl is very glossy clear and bright -graded under a 100 watt bulb there's just the lightest wispy hairlines seen from going into the inner sleeve again only seen under the brightest bulb - this is graded very close to near-mint NM,
both labels on this record are superb unmarked showing absolutely no wear at all graded mint - complete with it's original psychedelic red and white inner which is superb condition crisp and unmarked and an awesome original cut out sheet which I doubt has been out of the sleeve more than once,
This rarity is an important addition to any quality Beatles vinyl collection -
It would be difficult to get better.
