This is an ORIGINAL 1967 CAPITOL RECORDS U.S. MONO SCRANTON PRESSING of the 1967 landmark Capitol Records LP titled 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' from The Beatles. It is Capitol Records U.S. catalog number MAS-2653, gatefold cover. Record comes packaged inside the cover in its original red and pink shaded inner sleeve. The original paper doll thin cardboard insert is also present and included. 1967 original guaranteed first press mono on Capitol Records (MAS-2653). Scranton Pennsylvania pressing plant as indicated by the "IAM" in triangle in runouts. Cover and/or label includes four errors, indicating a true first pressing. "A Little Help From My Friends" on label and back cover. Label has no exclamation point after "Being For The Benefit Of Mr Kite! There is no comma on "Good Morning, Good Morning". No parenthesis on "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise)". No NEMS or Maclen Music credits on back cover. Tracks: A1 Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise) 1:24 B6 A Day In The Life 4:26 Visual condition of record is a high VG, just barely short of a low VG+ due to the presence of one barely feelable surface scratch amidst a moderate amount of surface marks which cannot be felt and will not affect play. Condition of cover is also a high VG with some small wrinkles in the back cover slick, a small split inside the gatefold cover on the inside of the hinge between the front and back covers, some wear in the front cover slick along its right hand edge, some ring and contact wear, and some wear along the edges and on the corners, no splits other than the aforementioned split inside the cover, and no tears, writing, or stickers. Red and pink shaded inner sleeve has small splits in the middle of two of its edges which I have repaired with clear tape, no other real flaws.
