BEATLES UK – ‘A HARD DAYS NIGHT’, rare outline Stereo logo sleeve.
PCS 3058 – original Black and Yellow Parlophone labels.
A UK LP featuring:
From the research I have done it is not clear what year this LP was pressed. Suggested dates have been from 1965 to 1968 !, I think it is possibly the latter. A very small run of front ‘outlined’ Stereo logo sleeves were printed, some say they were printed in error, but they were replace by the preferred and the more familiar ‘solid’ medium size ‘Stereo logos’ on the front of the sleeves. These sleeves are now very hard to find.
CONDITION:
THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good+ condition, the front is laminated. The front of the sleeve has a very unusual ‘outlined’ Stereo logo. The spine is in very good+ condition and all the text is clear to read. The rear of the sleeve has the period tri flipback design. Theres NO pen writing, splits, tears, stickers or sticker residue. See photo of the rear of the sleeve, there are some age related marks.
THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition and is the original EMI advertising red and white sleeve. The sleeve has NO pen writing, tears, splits, stickers or sticker residue.
THE VINYL: side one is in very good++ condition, side two is in near excellent condition. The vinyl is clean, dark and glossy.
The matrix nos. are: YEX 126 – 1 and YEX 127 – 1,
The Mother/Stampers are: ‘ 3 O L ’ and ‘ 2 M A ’.
THE AUDIO: is near excellent, it plays with very little ‘crackle’, I did hear some light ‘ticks’ here and there but in general a good playing copying. The vinyl lays flat on the turntable and plays well without any sticking or jumps from the needle.
THE LABELS: are in near excellent condition, unusually there are NO letters embossed around the spindle holes of the labels. The labels are free from pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.
