THE BEATLES - 'A HARD DAY'S NIGHT'
1964 UK 1st *STEREO* PRESSING LP
This EXCELLENT sounding copy is a hard to find initial 1st UK pressing on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 3058
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd..' worded rims.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible around the centre of the side 1 label.
Matrix numbers: YEX 126-1 & YEX 127-1
Stamper codes: 3/RO & 1/GA
Vinyl weight: 147g
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with a 'mid-sized' front stereo indicator.
Complete with its 'Use Emitex..' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.

Labels: EXCELLENT
Both are bright & undamaged with just some light spindle marks around each slightly worn centre hole.
Visual: 1. EXCELLENT 2. VERY GOOD +
Both playing surfaces are clean & extremely glossy with no loss of thier original deep-gloss shines. Aside from a few harmless wispy paper hairlines, side 1 bears no significant marks or wear. Side 2 displays several non-feelable fingernail scuffs but again no scratches anywhere. Close inspection directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals no further blemiahes or wear to either side - both of which lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Play: EXCELLENT
This extremely respectable sounding copy has a moderate amount of play on good quality equipment but the sound is clean & warm throughout. In fact, apart from a touch of light background on 'And I Love Her', my careful play-check at volume found no significant deterioration to the sound quality or any clicks, pops or ticks.
Cover
EXCELLENT
A clean & strong example with a bright, glossy front panel laminate which bears just 3 small 'thumbnails' towards the opening edge but no other significant signs of wear. There is a little rubbing to each corner extremity and a touch of light wear to the opening edges but no tears or feathering. The rear panel is clean, white & unmarked and has no writing or missing paper to any part. All flipbacks are fully intact and all seams & the fully worded spine are unstressed and unsplit.

VERY GOOD
Crisp & crisp with light storage wrinkling but no writing, tears or seams splits.
