BEATLES UK – ‘A Hard Days Night’, ‘E J Day’ sleeve original early Mono LP.

PMC 1230 – original  black and yellow Parlophone labels.

A UK album in 100% original condition featuring:

1. during 1964 / 65 the appearance and layout of the record labels on these UK Mono LPs went through a number of changes. This particular label variant features the track ‘I should have known better’, on the first line of text while still maintaining the text ‘The Parlophone’ etc text on the labels rim and the text ‘Recording first published 1964’.

2. the sleeve is the more unusual type as it is made by  E J Day,

3. side one features a ‘crossed out stamper’, it looks like the letter ‘ A’ has been crossed out !

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent condition, the front is laminated. The sleeve is made by E J Day. The four corners of the sleeve have remained sharp. The spine is in excellent+ condition and has remained an excellent white in colour, all the text is clear to read. The rear of the sleeve has the period tri flipback design. The rear of the sleeve has remained an excellent clean white and is in excellent++ condition. There are NO splits, tears, stains, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent condition and is the original EMI ‘Use Emitex’ sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, stains, tears, stickers or sticker residue. There is some splitting to one side edge and to the bottom edge of the sleeve.

THE VINYL:  is in very good++ condition, it is very clean, dark and glossy. The record appears to have received little play. The vinyl is made from thick, heavy vinyl.

The matrix  nos. are:  XEX  481 – 3N  and  XEX  482 – 3N,

The Mother/Stampers are:  ‘ 3    A M A  ’ as mentioned above, above the letter ‘M’ there is what looks like the letter ‘A’ that has been crossed out !,  and   ‘ 6   A G G  ’.

THE AUDIO: side one the audio is excellent, side two plays excellent, although I did hear a light ‘tick’ on track five for the first minute. The vinyl lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: are in excellent condition, the letters ‘K T’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side one. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers and sticker residue.

PACKING  -  ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION.BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
