BEATLES UK – A Hard Days Night LP, mis press stereo label.

PCS 3058 – original 1960s stereo black and yellow Parlophone labels.

A UK stereo album in original condition, featuring:

1. a hard to find stereo variant label, as side two of the record label has the text ‘Songs from the film a, Hard days night’. This text only ever appeared on side one of the label. Only a very small number of these mis pressed stereo labels were printed, as EMI soon spotted the error and it was soon corrected !,

2. a small size stereo logo to the top, front right of the sleeve,

3. on label one there is an addition ‘dot’ printed within the text, ‘Sold in .U.K.’ etc. This additional ‘dot’ does not appear on label two.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition. The front of the sleeve has an excellent glossy laminate. There are NO thumb nail creases to the laminate. The spine is in very good condition and all the text on the spine is clear to read. The rear of the sleeve has remained clean for its age. The rear of the sleeve has the period tri flipback design. Theres NO pen writing, splits, or any ‘other’ tears, stickers or sticker residue. There is a slight tear, 5mm to the front, right lower opening edge.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good++_condition and is the original period, EMI plain white, ‘Patents applied for’ sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There is a small ‘nick’ to the front, middle opening edge and a slight split to one of the side edges.

THE RECORD: side one is in excellent condition, side two is in near excellent condition. The record ‘looks’ as if it has not been played very much as it has remained very dark and glossy.

The matrix are: YEX 126 – 1 and YEX 127 – 1,

The mother / stampers are:   '2 OR'  and ‘ 2 R R ’.

THE AUDIO: is near excellent, it plays with some ‘crackle’ and the odd light ‘tick’ heard here and there. The record would benefit from a professional clean, this should reduce the above issues as the condition of the playing surfaces are so clean. The record plays with a loud, full powerful stereo sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: are in excellent+ condition. The letters ‘ K T ’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side two. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

PACKING - ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION. BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
