BEATLES UK, A Hard Days Night, cross over stereo record labels, first UK issue 1964 LP.
PCS 3058, original first issue stereo UK black and yellow Parlophone record label on side one.
A harder to find early UK stereo LP in original condition, featuring:
1. first issue 1964 UK 'stereo' LP, much harder to find in 'stereo', as most records bought back in 1964 were in ‘mono’,
2. the record label on side two features an ‘out of place !’, ‘MT tax code’, unusual for a record that would have been manufactured in mid 1964, when the ‘MT’ tax code was ‘phased out’ in July 1963,
3. original first issue larger/bolder text 'stereo' record label,
4. the record label on side two features a completely different record label layout, as the ‘font text’, ‘text layout’ and ‘text spacing’ is completely different. The ‘vertical spacing’ of the text is noticeably ‘more compact’,
5. first issue 1964 UK engraved record matrix of: YEX 126 - 1 and YEX 127 - 1,
6. original first issue record label text of, 'recorded first published 1964',
7. comes with the original ‘Use Emitex’ inner sleeve.
CONDITION:
THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The two opening edges of the sleeve have remained clean and sharp. The spine is in excellent+ condition and has remained clean white and straight and all of the text on the spine is clear to read. The rear of the sleeve features the original UK period 1960s, ‘tri flip back’, ie 'fold over' edge design. Theres NO pen writing, tears, splits, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. On the rear there are some slight / light signs of ageing.
THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good condition and is the original ‘Use Emitex’ inner sleeve. A clean original ‘crease’ free inner sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, tears, stickers or sticker residue to the inner sleeve. There is a slight split to the centre of one side edge and a slight split to the centre of the bottom edge and a cellotape repair to the other side edge.
THE RECORD: side one is in excellent condition and side two is in very good++ to near excellent condition.
The records ‘engraved’ matrix is : YEX 126 - 1 and YEX 127 - 1,
The record ‘engraved’, ‘mother / stampers’, are: ‘3 AM’ and ‘2 RD’.
THE AUDIO: side one, I did hear some ‘crackle’ on the ‘run in’ to track one, otherwise side one plays excellent++ with excellent quiet grooves. Side two, again, I did hear some ‘crackle’ on the ‘run in’ to track one, otherwise side two plays excellent++, with excellent quiet grooves. The record plays with a full, powerful period 'stereo' sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.
THE RECORD LABELS: side one is in excellent condition, side two is in very good++ condition. Unusual that the letters ‘MT’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side two. Each of the record labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
DISCOUNT WILL BE GIVEN ON POSTAGE FOR MULTIPLE PURCHASES.
