BEATLES UK  –  ABBEY ROAD LP - MISALIGNED APPLE – First Press.

1969 PCS 7088 -  APPLE RECORD LABEL.

An original UK first press album in 100% original condition featuring a   Misaligned APPLE logo mispress on the rear of the sleeve.

The track ‘ Her Majesty ’ is printed on the record label and plays on the record  but is NOT listed on the sleeve !

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE:  is in  excellent+ condition, the sleeve is fully laminated and has a lovely  deep shiny glass like finish.  The spine is thin and remained White in colour  and is  in  excellent condition,  all the text  is clear.    This is a  very first pressing of this Album and it  features the Apple logo on the rear of the sleeve misaligned, to the left !.   EMI were quick to correct this and the later sleeves had the Apple logo aligned with the song listing !. It is odd that the song  ‘ Her Majesty ’   DOES  NOT  appear on the sleeve but the song DOES appear on the record label  and DOES play on the record !.   There are NO stains,   Pen writing  or tears.

THE INNER SLEEVE:    is in very good++ condition  and it is the original period  white sleeve with  a   ‘ Patent no. 1,125,555’   on it.  The sleeve is very white and clean with NO stains, Pen writing.

THE VINYL:  side One is in  excellent condition, side Two is in near excellent condition    and as this is a  first pressing it is made from thick, heavy vinyl.    The vinyl is  very dark and  glossy and has a wonderful  ‘new’  look to it.

The Matrix is:       YEX  749 - 2    and    YEX 750 – 1,

The Mother/Stampers are :    9 1 2     O O H      and    5    M R L.

THE AUDIO:   each side  begins play  with some crackle, but this soon settles down, in general the audio is very  good.      The vinyl plays without the needle sticking or jumping.

THE LABELS:   are in excellent+ condition and show very little signs of play and being a first pressing shows  a DARK Green Apple,     the song ‘ Her Majesty ’  is printed on the  record label, but is NOT printed on the  sleeve !

TO GRADE THE CONDITION OF THE RECORD I AM USING THE OFFICIAL GRADING SYSTEM FROM THE RECORD COLLECTOR MAGAZINE.
