BEATLES UK – Abbey Road LP, early press.

1969 PCS 7088 - apple record labels.

An early UK press album in original condition, featuring:

1. an unusual label variant as each of the record labels feature a larger ‘33 1/3’ which is off set to the right !,

2. most of the first press record labels on side two do not have the track ‘Her Majesty’ printed, but on this record on label two, the track ‘Her Majesty’ IS printed on the label !

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent condition, the sleeve is laminated front and rear. The original thin spine is in excellent condition and all the text on the spine is clear to read. There are NO stains, pen writing, tears, splits, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. 

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition and is the original EMI plain white sleeve with the text ‘Patent Nos. 112,5555’ on. There are NO tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There is an edge split to one side edge and some light age related marks.

THE VINYL: is in near excellent condition. The vinyl is made from the period thick, heavy vinyl. It has remained very dark and glossy.

The Matrix are: YEX 749 - 2 and YEX 750 - 1,

The Mother/Stampers are:  ‘9 1 2   P G M’  and  ‘ 4  M T O ’,

THE AUDIO: is excellent, the record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: are in excellent condition. As this is a very early pressing, side one shows a DARK Green Apple colour. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

TO GRADE THE CONDITION OF THE RECORD I AM USING THE OFFICIAL GRADING SYSTEM FROM THE ‘RECORD COLLECTOR’ MAGAZINE.

PACKING  -  ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION.BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
