PCS 7088, original first issue UK 1969 ‘dark green’, Apple record label.

A first issue UK 1969 album in original condition, featuring:

1. original first issue UK 1969 sleeves of Abbey Road featured a ‘mis pressed’, ‘mis aligned’ Apple logo on the rear of the sleeve as the Apple logo was printed too far over to the left !. EMI were quick to correct this and very soon the sleeves were corrected to show the Apple logo correctly aligned with the albums track listing,

2. earliest 'mother' of '1', engraved onto side two of the record,

3. original first issue UK 1969 record matrix of, YEX 749 - 2 and YEX 750 - 1,

4. original first issue UK 1969 ‘dark green’ Apple colour record label on side one,

5. the track title, ‘Her Majesty’s is not printed on the record label, nor on the rear of the sleeve, but this track does play on the record !,

6. comes with its original period plain white 'EMI' 'Patent No. 1,125,555', text inner sleeve.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent++ condition. The sleeve is laminated front and rear. The quality laminated sleeve has retained a super glossy finish. The original period ‘thin’ spine is in excellent++ condition and has remained clean and white and all of the text on the spine is clear to read. The two opening edges of the sleeve have remained clean and sharp. The four corners of the sleeve have remained clean and sharp. Theres NO pen writing, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent+ condition and is the original period 'EMI' plain white, ‘Patent No. 1,125,555’ inner sleeve. The two opening edges have remained clean. An excellent original, very clean, white fresh inner sleeve. The inner sleeve is made from the period 1960s, quality heavy grade paper and has a ‘textured’ surface on the inside. There are NO tears, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue to the inner sleeve.

THE RECORD: side one is in 'near excellent' to 'excellent' condition, side two in is excellent++ condition. Note - that the condition of the 'playing surfaces' have been graded under normal 'daylight' conditions. The record is made from the quality period, 1960s thick, heavy vinyl.

The records engraved matrix is: YEX 749 - 2 and YEX 750 - 1,

The record engraved 'mother / stampers' are: ‘3 AD’ and ‘1 PH’,

THE AUDIO: each side of the record plays excellent++, with excellent quiet grooves. Each side of the record plays with a full powerful period, 'stereo' sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE RECORD LABELS: each of the record labels are in excellent++ condition. Each of the record labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.
