Description

An original 1st Uk press of AR from '69. Matrix 2/1. No Her Majesty on the labels indicating absolute 1st press. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original laminated cover with MIS-ALIGNED apple logo. This is effectively the very 1st iteration of the Abbey Road cover. We also have an original generic inner from the time too. And we will ship in a quality anti static inner sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Labels imply relatively little use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of slight marks per side - nothing troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly Excellent level of playback with slight deviation in one spot per side. A really decent player and plays pretty much fully clean with just some slight presence showing in the super fussy numbers on side 2...E.g. YNGMYM & Sun King...Much better preserved than the average copy that surfaces. VERY unusual to find AR in this kind of condition. It has only seen light use - that is the only way to have survived in this condition over this period of time.. Highly recommended. Don't wait around....you'll kick yourself!....
Cover (Ex) A really smart looking cover - many are going to be looking a bit beleaguered after 50 years use. But this one is exhibiting excellent colour retention and is in really great condition. Clean surfaces with only one slight thumbnail front and back. Minimal edge wear and nice pointy cornrers.. VERY tidy looking all. The spine is 99% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) nice.
