BEATLES UK, Abbey Road LP, original first issue UK 1969, mis aligned apple logo sleeve.

PCS 7088, original first issue UK 1969 ‘dark green’ apple record label.

A first issue UK 1969 album in original condition, featuring:

1. original first issue UK 1969 sleeves of this album featured a ‘mis pressed’, ‘mis aligned’ apple logo on the rear of the sleeve. The apple logo was printed too far over to the left !, EMI were quick to correct this and very soon the sleeves were corrected to show the apple logo correctly aligned with the tracks listing,

2. original first issue UK 1969 record matrix of, YEX 749 - 2 and YEX 750 - 1,

3. original first issue UK 1969 ‘dark green’ apple colour record label on side one,

4. the track, ‘Her Majesty’ is not printed on the record label and not printed on the rear of the sleeve, but the track plays on the album !,

5. comes with its original period plain white EMI inner sleeve.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent+ condition. The sleeve is laminated front and rear. The laminate has retained an excellent glossy finish. The original period ‘thin’ spine is in excellent++ condition and has remained clean, white and straight and all of the text on the spine is clear to read. The four corners of the sleeve have remained clean and sharp. The two opening edges of the sleeve have remained clean and sharp. Theres NO pen writing, splits, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent condition and is the original period EMI plain white ‘Patent No 112 5555’ inner sleeve. The two opening edges have remained very clean. An excellent, clean white original inner sleeve that has been well preserved. The inner sleeve is made of the period, quality heavy grade paper and has a ‘textured’ surface on the inside. There are NO tears, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve.

THE RECORD: each side is in near excellent condition. The record is made from the quality period, 1960s thick, heavy vinyl. The record has remained very dark and glossy.

The matrix are: YEX 749 - 2 and YEX 750 - 1,

The mother / stampers are: ‘4 MGL’ and ‘5 RTR’.

THE AUDIO: side one plays excellent+, I did hear a few light ‘ticks’ on track one. Side two plays excellent++. Each side plays with a full powerful period, stereo sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: side one is in excellent++ condition, side one has a small set of initials written in black pen written within the black area of the label. Side two is in near MINT condition. As this is an original first issue UK copy from 1969, side one shows a dark green ‘apple’ colour. The labels are free from any ‘other’ pen writing. Each label is free from any stickers or sticker residue.

THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
