BEATLES UK, Abbey Road, missing ‘hyphen’ record label mis press, early 1969 UK LP.
PCS 7088, early UK 1969 Apple record labels.
An early UK issue in original condition, featuring:
1. a hard to find mis pressed record label on side two, as the ‘hyphen’ that usually appears between, ‘Lennon – McCartney’ is missing, on the track, ‘She came in through the bathroom window’. This must have been a result of the printing plates at EMI being ‘tampered’ with. This ‘missing hyphen’ was soon spotted and corrected so only a very few of these mis pressed record labels were printed,
2. on side two of the record label, the track, ‘Her Majesty’ is not printed, nor does this track appear printed on the rear of the sleeve, but the track plays on the record,
3. first issue UK 1969 dark green ‘Apple’ record label on side one,
4. comes with its original plain white, ‘Patent No. 1,125,555’ inner sleeve.
CONDITION:
THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent condition. The sleeve is fully laminated. The original period ‘thin’ spine is in excellent condition, it has remained clean and white and all of the text on the spine is clear to read. The two opening edges have remained sharp and clean. There are NO tears, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.
THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent condition and is the original 1969 EMI plain white, ‘Patent No. 1,125,555’, text inner sleeve. An excellent clean white, uncreased original inner sleeve. The inner sleeve is made of the period 1960s quality, heavy grade paper and has a 'textured surface' on the inside. There are NO tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve. There is a slight 'split' to one of the side edges.
THE RECORD: each side of the record is in very good++ condition. The record is made from the period, quality 1960s, thick heavy vinyl. Each of the playing surfaces have remained dark and glossy.
The record matrix are: YEX 749 - 2 and YEX 750 - 1,
The mother / stampers are: '8 GHP' and '7 GPT',
THE AUDIO: side one plays excellent, it plays with light 'crackle'. Side two plays, overall very good++, I did hear two 'ticks' to the start of track one, otherwise the rest of side two plays with light 'ticks' and light 'crackle'. The record lays flat on the turntable and plays with a full loud, powerful period 'stereo' sound.
THE RECORD LABELS: side one is in excellent++ condition, side two is in excellent+ condition. Each record label is free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVE, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
