BEATLES UK, Abbey Road, missing ‘hyphen’ label mis press, original UK 1969 issue LP.

PCS 7088, original UK 1969 apple record labels.

An early UK issue in original condition, featuring:

1. an unusual mis pressed record label on side two, as the track, ‘She came in through the bathroom window’, on the writers credit, the ‘hyphen’ that usually appears between, ‘Lennon – McCartney’ is missing !. This must have been a result of the printing plates at EMI being ‘tampered’ with !. This ‘missing hyphen’ was soon spotted and corrected so only a very few of these mis pressed record labels were printed,

2. side two of the record label, the track ‘Her Majesty’ is not printed on the label, nor does this track appear on the rear of the sleeve !, but the track plays on the record !,

3. as the record is a very early issue, the record label on side one features a dark green ‘apple’ colour,

4. comes with its original plain white, ‘Patent applied for’, inner sleeve.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in good+ condition. The sleeve is fully laminated. The original period ‘thin’ spine is in good+ condition and all the text on the spine is clear to read. The two opening edges have remained clean. There are NO tears, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There is a 40mm split to the centre of the spine and some creasing and laminate lift to the front left / rear right lower corner.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good+ condition and is the original plain white, ‘Patent applied for’ inner sleeve. There are NO tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve. There is a split to the bottom edge.

THE RECORD: side one is in near very good condition, side two is in very good condition. The record is made from the period, quality 1960s, thick, heavy vinyl.

The matrix are: YEX 749 - 2 and YEX 750 - 1,

The mother / stampers are: ‘7 GOA’ and ‘4 GMG’,

THE AUDIO: each side plays very good++, each side plays with some light ‘crackle’ and some light ‘ticks’ heard here and there. The record lays flat on the turntable and plays with a full loud powerful, period stereo sound.
