BEATLES UK, Sgt Pepper, original UK 1967 mono LP.

PMC 7027, original UK 1967 black and yellow Parlophone labels.

A UK copy in original condition, featuring:

1. the front of the sleeve has a more unusual ‘lighter’ blue colour to the sky,

2. a ‘1 mother‘, on side one of the record.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent++ condition, the sleeve is fully laminated. An original UK 1967 first issue, ‘flip back’, gate fold mono sleeve. The laminate has an excellent glossy finish to it and has remained relatively ‘unscuffed‘ for it age. There are just three light ‘thumb’ creases near to the front opening edge and just four light ‘thumb’ creases near to the rear opening edge. The four opening edges are in near MINT condition and the four corners have remained clean and sharp for their age. The spine is in excellent++ condition and has remained an excellent fresh white in colour and all of the text on the spine is clear to read. When the ‘gate fold’ sleeve is opened it is in near MINT condition, super clean and glossy and the two original top, ‘flip backs’, ie fold over edges, can be seen. There are NO tears, splits, pen writing, stains, stickers or sticker residue to the sleeve. When the sleeve is tilted to the light there are some slight indentations to the front laminate of some ‘swirling’ shapes, these appear more over to the left/centre of the sleeve.

THE CARD INSERT: is in excellent+ condition and is the original DARK green cardboard cut-out insert. The rear is very clean. There are NO tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue to the insert.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good+ condition and is the original UK 1967 wavy pattern red and white sleeve. There are NO tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve. There is a slight split to each of the side edges and to the bottom edge and some age related marks and some dis colouring to each side.

THE RECORD: each side is in excellent condition. The record is made from the original period 1960s, ‘thick’, heavy vinyl and has remained very dark and glossy.

The matrix are: XEX 637 - 1 and XEX 638 - 1,

The mother / stampers are: ‘1 MO’ and ‘3 R’.

THE AUDIO: side one plays excellent+, I did hear some light ‘ticks’ through the track, ‘She leaving home’, otherwise side one plays with excellent quiet grooves. Side two also plays excellent+, it plays with excellent quiet grooves. The record plays with a full powerful clear, period mono sound. The record lays flat on the turntable

THE LABELS: side one is in MINT condition, side two is in near MINT condition. The letters ‘KT’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side two. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
