BEATLES UK – WHITE ALBUM, ORIGINAL NUMBERED STEREO LP.

1968 PCS 7067/7068 -  APPLE RECORD LABELS.

A UK first pressing top loading Stereo copy with a unique serial number of  ‘ No. 0499019’ and featuring:

1. oddly labels one and two  do not have the text  ‘An EMI Recording’,  but this text is present on labels three and four !.

2. the label on side four has  more of  a brown apple core detail than on side two of the white sides of the apple labels.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE:  is in near excellent condition, the double album gatefold sleeve has an excellent  full glossy laminate. The sleeve has remained a good clean white in colour.  On the front it has an embossed Beatles logo and a unique individual SERIAL Number of No. 0499019, this number appears VERY clear and bold. To the rear there is the word  ‘Stereo’  printed proving this to be a genuine STEREO sleeve. The spine is clean and has remained white in colour,  all the text can be read, the spine does have some of the usual ‘flaky’ laminate. The sleeve features two visible flipbacks when the sleeve is opened, these flipbacks are all excellent and well stuck down.  When the sleeve is opened it is very glossy, clean and tidy.  The rear of the  sleeve is also very clean and glossy. There are NO  stains, pen, splits, stickers or sticker residue.  There is a small tear, one side only,  10mm to the top left front where it meets the top of the spine.

THE INNER SLEEVES: are the original ‘apple’ black inner sleeves,  they  have NOT been replaced.  The first sleeve is in excellent condition, it has NO edge splits, it just has  a small tear 10mm at the die cut hole.  The second sleeve is in  near very good condition, it has splits to all three edges and some small ‘nicks’  to the top opening edges.

THE POSTER: the poster is not present.

THE PHOTOS:  the four photos are not present.

THE VINYL:  are in excellent condition and look as if they have not been played much at all. The records are made of the original ‘thick and heavy’ vinyl and have remained very dark, clean and glossy.

The matrix nos. are:   YEX   709 – 1,  YEX  710 - 1, YEX  711 – 2 unusually and  YEX 712 – 1, 

The Mother/Stampers are:   ‘ 2    G R  ’     ‘  5  R T  ’,   ‘  1  G O O  ’  and   ‘ 6   M T ’ .  

THE AUDIO:  is excellent,  the best playing copy I  have heard for a long time, an excellent playing copy.  Each record lays flat on the turntable and plays well with  NO sticking or jumps from the needle.

THE LABELS:  all four  labels are in excellent++  condition  and again  confirms that the  records have seen very little play.  As this is a first press two of the labels feature the original DARK green Apple colours.  All the labels show  the text  ‘Sold in the UK’ etc,  the George and Ringo songs are listed as ‘Apple Publishing’.  As mentioned  labels one and two do NOT have the text ‘An EMI Recording’,  but this text is present on labels three and four !.  Also there is  more of a distinctive  brown apple core detail on  label four, this is not so distinctive on label two. Theres NO pen writing, sticker or sticker residue on the labels.

Packing - all records are sent out with multi layered card stiffeners.    All records will be removed from their  original inner and outer sleeves  to avoid any damage, the record will then be put into a second inner sleeve for maximum protection while in transit.

Discounts will be given on postage for multiple purchases.

In the UK  –  records  that sell for over the value of £41 will  be sent  ‘recorded delivery’ and there maybe an additional cost for insurance as the seller has no protection if the item goes missing in the post etc, therefore the post and packing charges may vary.
