BEATLES UK, With the Beatles, PYE hard to find record, original 1963 UK LP.

PMC 1206, original UK 1963 mono black and yellow Parlophone record labels.

To try and meet the high demand for the latest Beatles LP, ‘With the Beatles’, released in late 1963 the record company of ‘PYE’ helped EMI to manufacture copies. Only a small number of these ‘PYE records’ were ever manufactured, now making them very hard to find.

A hard to find original UK ‘PYE’ record in original condition, featuring:

1. the records engraved ‘mother/stampers’ are unique to these ‘PYE’ records and differ from regular EMI copies. The ‘mother/stampers’ are, side one: ‘3P 12’ / A’, and side two, ‘PB 211 / A’,

2. another unique feature of these ‘PYE’ records is the very noticeable ‘tapered’, ‘sharper’ outer edge to the record,

3. another unique feature of these ‘PYE’ records is the slightly ‘raised’ record labels each side, ie this ‘raised’ area at the edge of the record label can be ‘felt’ with the finger tip,   

4. there are NO ‘tax codes’ embossed onto the record labels,

5. comes with its original ‘Use Emitex’ inner sleeve.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The spine is in very good++ condition and has remained clean white and straight and all of the text on the spine is clear to read. The rear of the sleeve features the original 1960s period, ‘tri flip back’ design, ie ‘fold over’ edges. There are NO tears, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. On the rear of the sleeve, to the centre, top there is a 60mm ‘scuff’ where some of the text has been lost.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent condition and is the original ‘Use Emitex’ inner sleeve. A very clean and original inner sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, splits,  stickers or sticker residue to the inner sleeve. There is a small 10mm tear to one of the ‘die cut holes’.

THE RECORD: side one, on track two, there is a light, non audible ‘scuff’, so I will grade track two as in very good condition, the rest of side one is in excellent ++ to near MINT condition. NOTE - the condition of the playing surfaces have been graded under ‘normal daylight’ conditions. Side two, has some non audible ‘scuff’ marks over tracks one, two and three so I will grade tracks one, two and three as in very good condition, the rest of side two is in very good++ to near excellent condition. The record is made from the original 1960s, quality thick, heavy vinyl. The record has remained very dark and glossy.

The records ‘engraved’ matrix is: XEX 447 – 7N and XEX 448 – 7N,

The records ‘engraved’ ‘mother / stampers’ are: side one: ‘3P 12 / A, and side two: ‘PB 211 / A’,  

THE AUDIO: each side of the record plays excellent++. The record lays flat on the turntable and plays with a full, loud powerful period ‘mono’ sound.

THE RECORD LABELS: side one is in excellent condition and side two is in  excellent+ condition. There are NO ‘tax codes’ embossed around the spindle holes. Each of the record labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

PACKING  -  ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION. BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
