BEATLES UK, With the Beatles, rare factory EMI stamps, original 1963 UK mono LP.

PMC 1206, original UK 1963 yellow and black Parlophone record labels.

A UK mono album in original condition, featuring:

1. the card sleeve and inner sleeve feature an original factory ‘EMI’ stamp, see photo,

2. first issue mis pressed ‘dark and grainy’ image sleeve. The first issue sleeves were mis pressed as the front photo image appeared very ‘dark and grainy’, EMI were quick to change the sleeves to show a much ‘lighter and clearer’ image,

3. this particular sleeve is more unusual, as it features ‘silhouettes’ of the heads of the Beatles, rather than the usual black background,

4. the mono logo on the front of the sleeve is mis aligned, as it has been printed lower down and more over to the left,

5. as this is such an early sleeve, it features the mis press spelling of, ‘gotta’, for the track, ‘You really got a hold on me’, this was soon corrected to read, ‘got a’. The record label on side two features the ‘corrected’ spelling of, ‘got a’,

6. unusual ‘crossover’ record matrix of, ‘5N/6N’,

7. comes with its original earliest, ‘Patents applied for, Use Emitex’ inner sleeve.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good+ condition, the sleeve is laminated on the front. The spine is in very good condition and all of the text on the spine is clear to read. The rear of the sleeve features the original 1960s period, ‘tri flip back’, ie fold over edges. There are NO splits, tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition and is the original EMI period, earliest, ‘Patent applied for, Use Emitex’ inner sleeve. A very clean crease free sleeve for its age. Theres NO pen writing, tears, stickers or sticker residue to the inner sleeve. On one side there are two small ‘nicks’ around the ‘die cut hole’ and a slight split to one side edge and to the bottom edge.

THE RECORD: side one is in very good condition. Side two is in very good++ condition. The record is made of the original period 1960s ‘thick, heavy’ vinyl. The record has remained dark and glossy.

The matrix are: XEX 447 – 5N and XEX 448 – 6N,

The mother / stampers are: side one, ‘15 OD’, and side two is, ‘2 TT’.

THE AUDIO: each side of the record plays excellent++, each side plays with excellent quiet grooves. The record plays with a full loud, powerful period mono sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE RECORD LABELS: each of the record labels are in very good++ condition. The letters ‘KT’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side one. Each of the record labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
