BEATLES UK – With the Beatles, rare undocumented label, circa 1969 UK mono.

1963 PMC 1206 – original yellow and black Parlophone labels.

A late 1969 UK mono album in original condition, featuring:

1. a rare and un documented mono label from possibly as late as 1969. The last known UK yellow and black mono labels featured the track title, ‘Devil in her heart’ printed on one line of text, instead of the norm, two lines. The record comes with a 1969 inner sleeve suggesting the record could be from that later period. Side one has a very unusual record label that I have not seen before, as there is a ‘ridge’ to the very outer edge of the label. Not only this but the label has an unusual heavy textured surface to it. The label on side two is a regular label, with no ridge and no textured surface,

2. the mother/stampers on side one are unusual as they feature three numbers, ‘315’, regular EMI records usually have one or maybe two number for the ‘mothers’,

3. the label and the sleeve feature the later ‘corrected’ spelling of ‘got a’ for the track, ‘You really got a hold on me’,

4. comes with its original, circa 1969 red and white period EMI advertising inner sleeve.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition. The sleeve is laminated at the front. The spine is in very good++ condition and all of the text on the spine is clear to read. The sleeve features the original period 1960s ‘tri flip back’ design to the rear. Theres NO pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There are two small ‘nicks’ to the front opening edge and a 5mm tear to the middle of the rear opening edge. To the top middle edge there is some signs of splitting.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition and is the original period, circa 1969 red and white EMI advertising sleeve. The two opening edges have remained very clean, a well preserved sleeve for its age. There are NO tears, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE RECORD: side one is in near MINT condition. The condition of the record has been graded under normal daylight conditions. Side two is in excellent+ condition. The record is made from the period, 1960s ‘thick, heavy’ vinyl. It has remained very dark and glossy and doesn't look as if it has been played very much.

The matrix are: XEX 447 – 7N and XEX 448 – 7N,

The mother/stampers are: ‘ 315 GTR’ and ‘ 13 RRD’.

THE AUDIO: is near MINT, it plays with excellent quiet grooves. It plays with a powerful, full loud period mono sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: side one is in near MINT condition. Side two is in excellent+ condition. The letters ‘KT’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side one. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.
