Rare MFSL LP - Factory Sealed!
Mobil Fidelity Sound Labs was one of the undisputed masters of audiophile vinyl. The sound reproduction on these LP's can only be described as stunning.This particular album is hard to find in any condition, but in new, sealed condition it is truly rare. I won't bore you with the tired story about the production problem that caused Mobil Fidelity to press a much smaller number of this LP, I'm sure you've already heard a dozen different variations of it, and if you're looking to bid on this item you already know its value. This is not only a major collector's item, but an investment. Mint. Since the LP is factory sealed, I can make no guarantees as to the condition of the record inside. I can only assume, given the pristine condition of the jacket and Mobil Fidelity's reputation for producing flawless vinyl, that the record is mint.Jacket:
Near mint. As far as can be seen through the plastic, the jacket appears to be in pristine condition. There are no spits and only one very slight bump to the top right hand corner that's hardly visible. There is a tiny spot under the "G" in "ORIGINAL" on the front that looks like something may have rubbed against it at some point. Basically this is in the condition you would expect if you were picking it off the shelf back in the late seventies when these were originally released.A note on condition descriptions: I am very critical in my descriptions of items. Many sellers simply describe items as "excellent", or "mint", or some offer a simple descriptive with no further information. No item--new or used--is perfect. There are always some minor signs of wear from normal handling. I strive to list ANY signs of wear I see on an item, no matter how insignificant, so that you know exactly what you are getting.
