Description

Not very familiar with Albums so I will try to describe this the best I can.

The cover appears to be over another picture - the Butcher cover?  It is not peeling off.   The album cover is discolored due to age, but compared to some I have seen - not too bad. There is no writing anywhere on the album cover.  There is one small spot of white on the top Beatles forehead.  It is 1/4 of an inch long and very narrow so I could not get a good picture of this flaw.  There is some wear on the front cover - like you can see where the inside album's outline and various indentations like surface scratches and lines.   The spine has a 2 inch split in the middle.  At the bottom there is a 1 inch split. Three corners of the album show wear.  The album is in fair condition.  I played the whole album.  There is some surface noise but no skips.  There are various scratches but it did not seem to affect the overall playing of the album.  It is slightly warped but I did not hear that it affected the playing of the album.  I only have a cheap old record player, so the quality of the sound may be worse or better on a better piece of equipment.  It does not have a dust jacket.  The inscription on the center of the actual album reads T-1-2553 -F-23 on side one and T-2-2553 -G-18 on side 2.  There also some numbers under the Capital Records Label and album title that read T-2553 (T-X-1-2553) and T-2553 (T-X-2-2553) - this is on the actual album.

The back cover is in fair to good condition.  It is discolored and you can see the outline of the album.  There is a number in the bottom RIAA 6.  The very bottom reads "This monophonic microgroove recording is playable on monophonic and stero phonographs.  It cannot become obsolete.  It will continue to be a source of outstanding sound reproduction, providing the finest monophonic performance from any phonograph.  "Made in USA Factories:  Scranton, PA - Los Angeles, Calif. - Jacksonville, ILL.
