Description
I was very surprised and excited to find this Beatles second state butcher cover at a local antique mall. I wanted to keep it for myself, but couldn't resist the temptation to see what it brought here. It's a mono- RIAA number 3. It's been peeled a little, but it's a very clean peel, with no residue on the butcher cover, and the pasteover is all there. I suppose it could be easily glued back down, if that's what you're after. I don't think I would ever try to peel one without professional assistance, if at all. So, I'm leaving it alone, in as found condition. Speaking of condition... the usual disclaimer... I'm not an expert, but I would say the cover is at least very good. It has the usual ring wear, some discoloration on the back, and the spine is a little flaky in two spots. Still very presentable, though. As for the vinyl, it's in good condition, hairline scratches throughout, labels are nice. It came with what I believe is the original Capitol inner sleeve, in very good condition. So, there you have it, folks.
Any questions, please email me before bidding.
There are no seam splits- the spine is legible and intact, with one small area of paper loss on the lower corner.( 3 to 4 millimeters in length). That area of paper loss doesn't include any of the spine print. the flaking at the top of the spine has no paper loss (i.e.- could be easily repaired).
