Description
TITLE/ARTIST: This rare and highly unusual Compact 33 (a 45 sized record that plays at 33 1/3 speed) is a collection of twelve (12) radio station promotional ads from 1965 - the year the "Help" was released as a movie. It is on a white label (promo) label from what appears to be a COM 1 label - probably short for "Commercial 1"). What makes this record even more unusual and collectible are the two (2) cuts promoting the Beatles' two movies - "A Hard Days Night" and "Help". However, I must say that all of the other cuts - some short in length and other's longer - are just as interesting. Some of those "others" include the promotion of a Byrds concert at The Rose Palace in Pasadina, California; Keith Moon advertising for "Great Shakes"; and Rick Derringer (of The McCoys) promoting donations to/for the Heart Association. There is more as well - one featuring Cream, another is a Shindig ad, then an ABC television Friday night lineup of shows, and the movies and/or specials of, "Summer Love", "The Big Beat", and Dick Clark's "Psych-Out", plus a couple more - 12 in all. All of this is on a near mint, compact 33, 7" record - it surely hasn't been played very much, if even at all (but please see the pics above for all titles). And, please check out my site in the future for many more great conditioned "oldies" as well, since I am slowly selling off my entire collection....thank you! LABEL INFO: It appears on the COM 1 label, and it is super clean and nice, showing no signs of having ever been played much. I don't see any spindle lines around the center circle at all. VINYL INFO: The vinyl is also super clean and nice with again, absolutely nothing in need of any mention either. It too, looks as if it may never have been played, although I obviously don't know that for sure. PICTURE SLEEVE: There is no picture sleeve. INTERESTING FACTS: Yes, in my opinion, this rare and unusual, "radio station only", promo record is nearly perfect - not to mention how difficult it would be to find out there anymore - especially in this kind of condition, so please have at it. As always, I have begun the auction at a very low opening bid and have no reserve price - just free and open bidding - so good luck!. In addition, I will continue to list many other RnR/R&B LP's, EP's, and 45's by 1950-60's artists----and even some C&W LPs/45's, too. I am selling off my entire personal collection, and there are 1000's of more records to list yet -- of all varieties and genres. Many of these still to be listed records are rare and hard to find, and most all of them are in near mint shape. So, please bookmark my site and check it out from time to time. GOOD LUCK BIDDING!! If anyone ever needs more info than what is listed, please email me. I will respond! POSTAGE/HANDLING CHARGES: In the United States, the buyer agrees to pay $4.00 (1st Class Mail and Delivery Confirmation) for the first 45 purchased, and then just $.50 per 45 after that-----so, buy in quantity and save. These are U.S. rates only, and all foreign winners will have to await an email me for their exact costs, although I will send a detailed invoice as soon as the auction is over---but, there too, it is cheaper to send multiple pieces. The charges for overseas are $15.00 for the 1st 45 and then just $3.00 per 45 after that. PLEASE NOTE: I will not be responsible for records that are lost or damaged by either US or overseas Postal Services. However, for additional fees, I will gladly ship the packages Priority Mail and/or add insurance! Please email me with either, or both, requests if this is of interest to you. Also, please continue to check out "rogersrecords" on ebay for future collectible records of all types. There are many more to come! browser does not support JavaScript.
