This is a ultra rare 1963 forth press (second black/yellow) stereo lp as identified by the following
- LARGE STEREO on ERNEST J DAY laminated flipback cover
- The PARLOPHONE CO and RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 193 but omits SOLD IN UK
- On the side 1 label it is MT tax code stamped
I HAVE GRADED THE LP VERY STRONGLY,ITS IN SUPERB CONDITION!
The front of the cover is very clean with no laminate cracking and no tears,stickers or writing,the colours are very vivid and bright and the border on the top is very white with no browning.The four corners are nice and square but the bottom two have a little wear which comes from the seam,no damage to the opening which is sharp,normally you see light cuts from taking the record out of the cover.Looking around the edge there are just a few very small and hardly noticeable creases
The back is very very white with NO RING WEAR,TEARS,WRITING OR STICKERS,the three flipbacks are very clean with hardly any creases on them just a couple of very tiny ones which you have to look close to see.The only major wear is to the left of the pound sign near the opening is a small brown mark which measures roughly 1 inch
The spine is very solid and all the text is clear and readable,the seams are also very clean with no splits or wear just the bit on the bottom seam in each corner which is mentioned above
The parlophone labels are really nice,the side 2 label is very clean with just a little spindle hole wear.side 1 has a few white spots which can be seen in the scan,mainly to the left of the letter P,nothing to major and the scan most likely makes it worse because of the flash
The vinyl itself is pure quality!!,very thick wax it has NO GROOVE WEAR!,it looks MINT but under a strong light you can see some light marks.FANTASTIC!
The record plays really well and the stereo sound is fantastic,the tracks play great with no loud crackles,between the tracks you can hear background noise but nothing that will stop you enjoying this fantastic and ultra rare lp
