"THE BEATLES"

"ABBEY ROAD"

RARE  UK EARLIEST FIRST PRESS WITH MISALIGNED APPLE LOGO TO REAR OF SLEEVE AND NO HER MAJESTY CREDITS

Artist - THE BEATLES   Title- ABBEY ROAD

Label- APPLE

Cat# PCS 7088

Matrix - YEX 749-2 and 750-1

Vinyl- EX++ TO NEAR MINT. LOVELY CLEAN AND SHINY VINYL. WHEN HELD AT AN ANGLE TO STRONG LIGHT THERE ARE ONLY THE MOST MINIMAL AND LIGHTEST OF MARKS. THESE ARE ABSOLUTELY INSIGNIFICANT AND DO NOT AFFECT PLAYBACK QUALITY.PLAYS THROUGH WITHOUT SKIPS,JUMPS OR REPEATS WITH GREAT AUDIO QUALITY AND NO CRACKLE.

Sleeve - EX++ TO NEAR MINT. STUNNING SLEEVE AT 40 YEARS OLD. LAMINATED TO FRONT AND REAR BY GARROD AND LOFTHOUSE. THE APPLE LOGO IS MISALIGNED TO SIDE ONE TRACKLISTING AT REAR OF SLEEVE AND SIDE 2 TRACKLISTING OMITS HER MAJESTY CREDIT.THERE IS NO EDGE OR CORNER WEAR. OPENING EDGE HAS A NICE SHARP FINISH AND FULLY READABLE TITLE ETC TO SPINE. ONLY LIGHTEST OF RING MARKING VISIBLE WHEN HELD AT AN ANGLE TO LIGHT AND VERY MINIMAL LAMINATE "CREASING". I FEEL THAT THIS IS REALLY INSIGNIFICANT ON A SLEEVE AT 40 YEARS OLD. THE INNER SLEEVE WAS PRODUCED IN BOTH BLACK AND WHITE FORMAT, THIS COPY HAS A WHITE SLEEVE. THIS IS A REALLY WELL PRESENTED SLEEVE AND I FEEL WOULD BE DIFFICULT TO BE BETTERED.

Labels- EX++ TO NEAR MINT. LOVELY CLEAN DARK GREEN APPLE LABELS WITH MFD IN UK TEXT AND SIDE 2 OMITS HER MAJESTY FROM TRACKLISTING. ONLY VERY LIGHTEST OF WISPY SPINDLE TRACE SUGGESTS THAT RECORD HAS HAD LITTLE PLAY.

ON OFFER HERE IS THE BEATLES FINAL ALBUM "ABBEY ROAD" THIS IS A UK FIRST PRESSING AND IS LISTED AS A MISSPRESSING IN RARE RECORD PRICE GUIDE. THIS IS DUE TO THE OMISSION OF "HER MAJESTY" TO TRACKLISTING ON RECORD LABEL AND ALSO TO SLEEVE AND THE MISALIGNED APPLE LOGO TO REAR OF SLEEVE BELOW SIDE 1 TRACKLIST. THIS IS A SUPERB COPY WITH YEX 749-2 and 750-1 MATRIX NUMBERS AND GARROD AND LOFTHOUSE SLEEVE LAMINATED TO FRONT AND REAR AND I AM SURE WOULD PLEASE ANY SERIOUS BEATLES COLLECTOR WHO IS STILL LOOKING FOR A COPY.I DOUBT THERE ARE MANY, IF  ANY, THAT WOULD BETTER THIS. THIS WAS THE BEATLES LONGEST SINGLE ALBUM AND THE GROOVES ARE NOT AS WIDE WHICH OFTEN RESULTS IN HEAVY CRACKLE ETC. THIS COPY PLAYS WITH LOVELY CLEAR AUDIO QUALITY.
