THE BEATLES -LOVE ME DO Details Type 7" SINGLE Sleeve COMPANY Inserts NONE

Anyone that may have noticed we have been listing a bunch of mint or near mint early 60's singles over the last couple of weeks.Well we have saved this until last as it represents one of the finest copies we have ever seen .It is one of the very first presses of this single with a ZT matrix inscription and OG Stampers- this makes it without doubt one of the earliest pressings known to exist.

The full details as follows - Parlophone red label with Catalogue number 45-R 4949 ,"The Parlophone Co ltd" rim text and "Recording 1st Published 1962"label text . The Matrix numbers are 7XCE 17144 -1N & 7XCE 17145 - IN (denoting 1st press with Ringo on Drums & no tambourine) and the all important mother stampers are A:(3 o'clock) P over ZT over 1 and (9 O'clock) 0 and B:(3 o'clock) P over ZT over 1 and (9 O'clock) G

Grading/Condition Playing Surface

An immaculate looking copy that still sports all of its original gloss and sheen and has just the faintest hairline marks visible, and this is holding up in sunlight (the harshest critic of them all). It would be acceptable to grade this vinyl as NEAR MINT in fact on a lesser disc we would ,but as this is one of the most highly sought of ALL Beatles discs we will without hestitation give it very close to a EX++ grade. Its that good, but dont take our word for it,please listen for yourself,we have sampled and segued both sides of the disc, and you can hear the stylus being lowered, nice quiet run ins, and the crisp and clear sound that so typified these early pressings, and listen for the silences that precede John singing - love me do -near the end of the clip, this is where you will normally hear the background noise,if there is any.So just click on the dancing girl below, and listen away.

Labels EXCELLENT++ Lovely and clean with that deep red lustre that comes with a record that has been properly stored ,and with no scuffing - the silver writing is as bright as it possibly could be .The is no telltale playwear to the spindle hole at all ,and again when holding the disc to bright light and rotating it you can see just very light close to trace spindlemarks on the inner centres. Sleeve

An original and CORRECT for the period EMI TYPE A company sleeve and in EXCELLENT CONDITION

Extras/Inserts NA Record Grading All of our Records are graded VISUALLY UNDER A STRONG LIGHT AND ARE ALL CLEANED AND PLAYED BEFORE LISTING, and for ease we use the UK Record Collectors Guide (The Bible) grading system as outlined below for GUIDANCE.We will also use the suffixes of (+/-) for items that can be classed as between 2 categories. MINT The Record itself is in Brand new condition OR with no surface marks or deterioration in sound Quality. The cover and inserts are in perfect condition EXCELLENT (EX) The Record shows signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening of sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD (VG) The record has obviously been played many times ,but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without major defects is acceptable. GOOD,FAIR,POOR,BAD Descriptions getting progressively worse until all you end up with is an ashtray ..The only records we will ever sell in these categories are for collection filling, and will be adequately described. Problem Solving Incorrect Grading The best way to buy a record is to pick it up study the surface of the vinyl and then make a decision, but as we all know this is not possible across the internet , and we all have to rely upon the judgment of others, and on occasions opinions differ,as responsible people we accept this, and always view such opinions with sympathy. Our policy is a simple one , we offer an unconditional refund including Post and Packaging costs for any items that do meet our grading in your opinion,we may sometimes ask for the item to be returned for evaluation, but in the main it is uneconomic for us to do this.and you get to keep the record for free. Non Payment In our experience the vast majority of users on Ebay bid on items because the want to buy them, and our instances of non paying bidders is and has always been very low,and for this we thank our many thousands of fantastic customers. If some reason you have made a mistake or you cant for some reason - let us know ,we will write it off and relist the item, its not a problem, but like any commercial organisation we do chase our debtors, and will instigate the Non paying Bidder procedure after 14 days. Feedback Like a lot of major sellers we use Ebay's selling manager to automate a lot of the functionality, this includes the leaving of feedback, and works by automatically leaving a glowing recommendation on your account upon receipt of your positive to us. With regard to negative feedback - we never leave it,but we respond to it in the spirit with which we perceive it was given Postage and Packing
