“BEATTLES” (BEATLES) 45 VEE-JAY 498 error label “Please Please Me” ’63 promo MEGA-RARE
Artist: THE BEATLES (listed on both labels as “THE BEATTLES”)
Titles: “Please Please Me” / “Ask Me Why”
Label: VEE JAY # 498. Label is white with black text, labeled “DISC JOCKEY ADVANCE SAMPLE.” “Audio Matrix” is stamped in the runout groove.
Year: 1963
Condition: Nice VG to VG+ with most of the original gloss, play-grades VG+ or better! Has some minor scuffing and a couple light marks, but none are serious or distracting. Fidelity is excellent as you can hear in the accompanying sound clips taken from this actual record.
Labels are overall presentable, with a bit of rubbing wear and slight staining on both sides. There are two “X” marks and name of original owner on the A-side label.
Includes the original VEE JAY RECORDS factory sleeve in excellent condition.
A genuine Beatles rarity that will definitely enhance one serious Beatles fan’s collection – it could be you!!
