You are viewing an auction for The Beatles "Please Please Me/Ask My Why" promo vinyl 45 - Vee Jay Records 498.
This is the original Please Please Me issue that failed to make any waves in the US when released by Vee Jay Records. As you can see, the group name was misspelled. The A side was marked by either the manufacturer or the radio station with "X" indicating that this was the side to plug.
The vinyl shows many scuffs and scratches. There is a very small crack in the vinyl on the lip. The labels show wear, yellowing, etc. Visually grades G at best.
In spite of the numerous scratches and scuffs, "Please Please Me" plays through without skips and actually sounds pretty good - maybe like a VG record. "Ask Me Why" does not play as well as the A side with a skip right near the beginning of the song - "I love you... woo woo woo woo" skips the woo woos.
