This is my EX / MINT / UNPLAYED PROMO copy of this VERY RARE ORIGINAL UK PRESSING of BELLE AND SEBASTIANS's 1st LP "TIGERMILK", released in 1996 on ELECTRIC HONEY RECORDS - EHRLP 5. Their signing to London agency JEEPSTER was very important in getting the band established and this PROMO copy comes with a letter from Vanessa at Jeepster to Gareth (Davies from regional pluggers Beer Davies). The contents are very interesting. The hand written letter says "Here's the self-produced Rhode Island album - or Bell & Sebastian, as they are currently known. Obviously the production is awful, but there's some great song-writing going on! I saw Love at the weekend, amazing songs, even though Arthur Lee looked like he was going to keel over at any momment. Stuart from Belle & Sebastian is a big 'Love' fan and I think the 60's influences raelly come through. Hope you enjoy, Best regards ...etc. This is on JEEPSTER headed paper, addressed 60 Canalot Studios, 222 Kensal Rise, London. The sleeve is in great shape with just a little light shelf-wear over the years stopping me making it MINT. The Disc is MINT and in perfect condition. A RARE OPPORTUNITY TO GRAB A COPY OF THIS 1000 only FIRST RUN and with the bonus of A LETTER OF GREAT INTEREST TO ANY FAN with the REFERENCE TO RHODE ISLAND (and with comments about the 'production' - I SHOULD THINK - THE BAND! A GREAT and ESSENTIAL FIRST LP from this WONDERFUL BAND!
