Description
BENNY GOLSON QUINTET featuring CURTIS FULLER - Gone With Golson LP (Prestige / New Jazz 8235, US)
Very rare original purple mono pressing. Deep groove with RVG in the runoff. This was not repressed throughout the 60s and 70s as with many Prestige and New Jazz titles. An incredible session.
I do grade conservatively. A beautiful copy overall. I did play-grade this one on my Micro Seiki DD40... marvelous full sound with only the slightest hint of occasional surface noise. Mostly play-grades VG+ or better. The spine and seams of the cover are nice and tight.
RECORD: VG (some faint hairlines and scuffs, no deep scratches) COVER: EX (one small portion of a stamp on back upper right - see photo)
Some of the records have reflections in the photo of the label. These are NOT marks or scratches on the records.

VISUALLY GRADED UNDER A 100 WATT BULB. I ALSO SPOT PLAY THE LPS.
I have been a record collector and a respected dealer for over 20 years. I grade conservatively on a scale of: SEALED, NM, EX, VG+, and VG. I generally won't sell anything under VG unless it is particularly unique or hard to find. NM: means it looks basically new, perhaps with the sort of negligible wear a record would get after a week in a store; vinyl is shiny with no marks whatsoever. I use this grade sparingly. EX: means light wear to vinyl or sleeve, nothing significant. VG+: means a solid copy with minor signs of wear and the possibility of occasional surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still quite nice. VG: a typical used copy with obvious signs of wear and likely light to moderate surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but does not overpower the music. NOT TRASHED!
