BIG BROTHER AND THE HOLDING COMPANY
Issue : RARE UK 1st STEREO PRESS Label : FONTANA Catalogue No : STL 5457
Matrix : 883741 1Y//1 - 2Y//1
This 1967 rare UK 1st press, stamped Sample Record, is on the original black and silver Fontana label. It is complete with the very earliest 1Y/1 - 2Y/1 matrix, the original company inner sleeve and the original matt flipback sleeve.
The vinyl is in Excellent condition. It has an exceptional gloss, the vinyl has only been very lightly played. There are just a few very light wispy marks. There are no significant signs of play at all. The label has the wonderful original solid sheen and has a faint Sample Record, Not For Sale stamp on Side 1. The silver text is exceptionally sharp and bright and there is only the very slightest spindle wear.
The sound quality is Excellent, superb audio separation and clarity. When played at volume very light background noise can be heard but certainly nothing that would spoil the enjoyment of this album at any point. The sound is still superb throughout.
The flipback sleeve is in Very Good condition. The colours are superb, vivid and sharp, the white is bright and the whole sleeve is solid. There is a little ring and edge wear. The flipbacks are complete and the back has a little discolouration but is still very clean.
